A Very Smooth Honjozo
After being impressed by Kintsuru's Daiginjo, I decided to try their Honjozo, and it did not disappoint. The sharp alcohol sensation often found in Honjozo is subdued, allowing the smooth umami of the rice to glide pleasantly over the tongue and down the throat. The ginjo aroma is subtle, without overpowering notes of rice. It has complexity, but not to the point of being overly delicate or demanding. Wonderfully balanced, this Honjozo is an excellent choice as a sake to enjoy with meals.
